Sudan Crisis
Sudan is now the world’s largest displacement and protection crisis, with nearly 14 million people forcibly displaced since the conflict began in April 2023.
7 million people are internally displaced, while 4.5 million have fled to neighbouring countries including CAR, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya, South Sudan, and Uganda.
Violence continues to escalate, especially in North Darfur, where civilians are fleeing brutal fighting in and around El Fasher. Families are arriving in neighbouring countries exhausted, hungry, and in urgent need of safety.
Many arrivals are women and children, and host communities across the region are overstretched. Funding shortfalls are forcing cuts to food, water, health care, and shelter.
