Millions of Yemenis are in urgent need.

After years of bitter conflict, Yemen is on the brink of humanitarian catastrophe.

Worsening violence has disrupted the lives of millions, resulting in widespread casualties and massive displacement. It is the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.

An estimated 80% of the population – 24 million people – require some form of humanitarian or protection assistance, including 14.3 million who are in acute need.

Humanitarian programmes in 2018 scaled up to reach 8 million people with direct assistance per month, up from 3.5 million in 2017, making Yemen the largest humanitarian operation in the world.

Severe malnutrition, sustained conflict and a lack of humanitarian access have produced devastating effects. Without immediate help, even basic survival is at threat. Protection of civilians remains a major priority in Yemen with an estimated 14.4 million people in need of protection assistance.

Limited funding – currently at only 20 percent – restricts the UNHCR's capacity to provide life-saving relief. Without help, many more lives will be lost to violence, treatable illnesses or lack of food, water and shelter. Help us control the spread cholera and provide emergency aid by donating today.

You can help now and help Yemeni families access food, rent and medicine while they are displaced. Act now to provide a lifeline to Yemeni refugees.
