Venezuela Earthquake Emergency
On 24 June 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela, devastating densely populated communities. Thousands of people have lost their homes, loved ones and access to essential services, including electricity, clean water, health care and communications.
Multiple aftershocks continue to threaten families and complicate rescue efforts. Many people are now sheltering in stadiums, public buildings, vehicles and open spaces without adequate protection, privacy or basic necessities.
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is on the ground delivering life-saving humanitarian assistance to families displaced by the earthquakes.
With your support, UNHCR will deliver emergency aid including:
- Emergency shelter and family tents
- Essential relief items, including blankets, sleeping mats and household supplies
- Solar lamps and other critical items to improve safety and dignity
- Protection services for children, women and other people at heightened risk
- Support to help families access vital services and begin rebuilding their lives
